What this city is known for

Oncology · Organ transplantation · Traditional Chinese medicine · Respiratory medicine · Health checkups

A practical choice if you are flying from Southeast Asia, the Middle East or Africa — flight times are short, the city has a long-established international trading community, and costs for checkups and specialist consultations are lower than in Beijing or Shanghai.

Getting there & practicalities

Baiyun International (CAN) is a major hub for flights from Southeast Asia, the Gulf and Africa, with good connections onward to Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Cantonese is the local language, but hospital international departments work in English — and our interpreters cover English, Russian and Arabic. November to March is the most pleasant weather.
